Our volunteers are a real inspiration to the organization. Recently, Sean Riley, an Eagle Scout candidate, chose SSIHC as the place to donate his time and energy for his Scout award. He did a wonderful job transforming one of our residential properties. 

Sean single-handedly raised over $1300 to put up new exterior shutters and totally re-landscaped two major planting areas in front of the building. He recruited fellow scouts to help him accomplish this. The residents were grateful for all of the great renovation work that Sean and his fellow scouts accomplished. It helped revitalize the property and give the residents a new sense of pride in their home!

Sean was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Executive Director and the SSIHC Board for his extraordinary work and fundraising efforts.
